Happy Days in Palma de Mallorca

Below is a collage of pictures showing a few days out and about in Palma de Mallorca. We are having such a great time with probably too many parties in between....living, loving, drinking life in Plama de Mallorca :)

Julz, Kieran and Tom setting sail on Puffin
Working the ropes

Palma - a sailing capital!
Captain Nick at the Helms station

Tom and Nick fishing in Palmanova
Moored for lunch off Palmanova beach

Julz and Teeny enjoying the sunshine!
Nick's wopper fish!
Captain K-dog and Teeny
Nick and Tom off to fetch supplies!
Quick/frantic swim back in chilly waters...
Supplies tied to Nick's ankle (12 San Miguels please!)

Sunset at 8:30pm - still something to get used to!

Cruise ships regularly arrive and leave from Palma

Back streets of Palma on our way to explore the West coast of the island
Tony and Dani and the speedy blue car hired

Such an amazing winding road along the coast

The Metal Horse - the island seems to have a lot of odd metal sculptures scattered everywhere
Terraced landscape with small agricultural fields

And we're still "livin the dream"!

Threatening clouds...only got caught once in the hail!

Soller square

Built in 1855...

Port Andraxt

Curvy 'S' bends up towards Orient

Switchbacks through to Alaro...probably as sharp as Malawi roads

The infamous lamb restaurant on the island....YUM!
Only problem is mommy watches you eat...

The hail storm we just missed!

Hiking up to Castell de Alaro

If you look closely, above Dani  in the trees you can see the ball of hail Nick threw up in the air!

Old walls of Castel de Alaro

'Donkey on the edge'

Next day's mission to Alcudia - the North of the island

Alcudia

Formentoro - the northern most point of the island

Nick, Dani and Tony pointing to the Northern point

Really glorious day out!!

Very popular cycling route

Our rental car...dented badly as most Spanish cars are!

Port Adriano

We got caught in an annual motorcycle tour on the island. Over 5000 motorcycles...we definitely missed our babies this day!!
The east coast of the island

Hold on Dani!!!

Lunch stop at Calla Santanyi
Tortilla wraps courtesy of Dani and Tony

One of the callas in Calla Dor

Promenade at Calla Millor - very touristy but awesome walk along the beachfront!
There are lots of horse carts in and around Palma too

'Beach Boys Bar'

You can hire these and explore the island!!

Doesn't this remind you of the Hoff from Baywatch...?

Our dailywalk along the paseo (promenade) in Palma :)

The landmark catedral in Palma

  1. Absolutely Stunning!!!! I almost feel bad for hoping that you might come home some day. I won't say that I hope you are doing well because I can see for myself, lol. Keep that dream alive! Miss you both!
